About Me

Hi, I’m T. Renee. I’m an Indie Author from Long Island, NY. I grew up in a community surrounded by family— I was raised by an army of single mothers, and I credit my resilience, creativity, integrity, faith, and ability to love to them.

I write about love. I wouldn’t necessarily call myself a romance writer, there is romance on occasion, but even when there’s not, the love is always there.

As far as inspiration goes, mine has always been Greek Tragedies, Oscar Wilde, Emily Dickinson, Maya Angelou and the Blues. Good music, good writing, and good whiskey are my happy place.

So, what kind of writer am I?
I write love stories that are tragic yet hopeful, romantic yet desperate, loving and full of sorrow; I write dramas, and sometimes I write thrillers or science fiction.

Sometimes my stories end happily and sometimes they end hopefully, and sometimes the end is just the beginning to another story…

Then there’s the poetry, which is just all my guts, in all its glory out on display for public viewing.

So again, what kind of writer am I?
I am a cynic, I write about tragic love. I don’t really believe too much in happily ever after, but I am also a hopeless romantic, I’m a bit modest but I love a good seduction, and hopeful—I always leave space for hope, and I write from the bottom of my heart all the way out to yours.

“I am a daughter
from a long line of single mothers
who could write anthologies on how to sacrifice.
Educate you on where you came from
And give you the tools you need to make it in life.
I am the descendant of women
Who didn’t know how to quit.
Who bore half a dozen children and more
And still took strangers in.”
